Questions, answered

What are maker and taker fees?

A taker order fills immediately against the order book (for example a market order) and pays the taker rate. A maker order rests on the book until someone fills it (a limit order away from the price) and usually pays less.

Where do these fees come from?

Each exchange's official fee page, linked in the results with the date we checked it (2026-10-20). Fees change; confirm on the exchange before trading.

Why might my real fee be lower?

Exchanges can also place you in a cheaper tier by account balance or assets held, token discounts (for example Bitget's BGB) or promotions. This calculator uses trade volume only.

What is not included?

Spreads, simple Buy/Sell screens (often 1% or more), deposit, withdrawal and network fees, and regional pricing differences.
